I'm an associate professor of philosophy with a specialization in the philosophy of psychology and cognitive science.
Much of my work centers on questions of psychological unity, which bear on a number of traditional philosophical concerns, including personal identity, self-knowledge, the unity of consciousness, and the nature of belief.

I am presently an associate professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Maryland, College Park.
Prior to this, I was in the Department of Philosophy and the Cognitive Science Program at Indiana University, Bloomington. Before coming to Bloomington I was in the Philosophy Department and the PNP Program at Washington University in St. Louis. Prior to that I was a Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow at Oxford University. I earned my Ph.D. at the University of Maryland and my B.A. at Vassar College.
